Amber Portwood and Matt Baier faced rumors of a split last week and on Twitter, the Teen Mom OG star may have just confirmed the news.
Although Amber Portwood and her potential ex-fiancé recently denied they had split, the longtime reality star and mother of 8-year-old Leah told a fan hours ago that Matt Baier has nothing to do with anything.
After Amber Portwood tweeted to fans during the new episode of Teen Mom OG , revealing she was unwilling to change for anyone but herself and her family, a fan encouraged her against becoming jaded by Matt Baier and “his farce life.”
In response, Amber Portwood told the woman , “No no Matt has nothing to do with anything.”
Also on Monday night, May 15, Amber Portwood shared a cryptic post with fans about getting revenge .
It read: “In the mood to not sleep and get even with some people however I’ll just listen to music..but the people I’m talking about..karma is a b***h.”
As Amber Portwood remains active on Twitter and Instagram throughout the ongoing rumors of a possible split, Matt Baier has gone radio silent. In fact, his last Instagram post was shared last week and included a video of himself and Portwood speaking to KTLA.
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier traveled to Los Angeles earlier this month to attend the MTV Movie And TV Awards and participate in a number of interviews, including an appearance on Brandi Glanville’s Podcast One series, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered .
While in town, as Radar Online revealed last week, Matt Baier reportedly underwent a lie detector test and failed.
“Amber says he didn’t pass,” a source close to the reality star explained to the outlet. “It was filmed by MTV, so it will all play out on Teen Mom .”
According to the outlet, Amber Portwood called off her engagement and wedding to Matt Baier, which was expected to take place this October. As the couple revealed to E! News just months ago, they intended to get married sometime around October 10, which marks the anniversary of the first time they met face-to-face.
Radar Online went on to reveal that a source close to Matt Baier insisted the reality star did pass his lie detector test.
“He took it voluntarily. Amid all of the cheating rumors, which got disproven, Amber told him to take the test,” the insider said. “He did it on film, so no one could say it wasn’t true. They asked, ‘Have you ever cheated with another woman,’ ‘Have you had inappropriate conversations with another woman,’ and he passed.”
Following Radar Online ‘s report, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier shot down the idea of a split and told The Dirty that they were still together.
Baier also confirmed he had undergone a lie detector test but didn’t say whether he passed.
“I absolutely did take a lie detector test to once and for all prove to everybody I’ve never been unfaithful to Amber,” he explained . “Amber and I have been through an awful lot worse for the last three years. We’re constantly battling outside forces who try to inject themselves into our relationship.”
As for why Amber Portwood and Matt Baier may be hiding certain things from fans, they are currently under contract with MTV and likely not allowed to say anything that could spoil an upcoming storyline of the show.
