You can’t keep a good Ariantor down.
That’s the takeaway from the latest Ariana Grande feud that’s overtaken Twitter, this time pitting the pop star’s rabid fanbase against talk-show host Wendy Williams.
As reported by Inquisitr , Twitter exploded with an all-out war of words against Wendy Williams after she allegedly body-shamed poor Ariana Grande on her show this past week.
“She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12,” Williams said, as reported by E! Online . “And I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and then you’re short—she’s only like 4’11”. I don’t look at her as, like, a woman.”
As quickly as the words left her mouth, the hastag #CancelWendyWilliamsShow immediately began trending worldwide on Twitter, with Ariana’s fans coming to her defense.
#CancelWendyWilliamsShow be she’s hypocritical, and is like a human magazine; stating nonsense and stupid standards https://t.co/PKjwfSwo3G

The irony to this latest flap is that before Wendy Williams body shamed Ariana, Grande was actually public enemy number one behind only Bill Cosby, according to the Hollywood Reporter . Her negative-Q rating increased a whopping 26 percent following her now-infamous donut-licking scandal, where the 21-year old pop star licked several on-display donuts and seemingly cursed out America for being overweight.
And while many media outlets, including Cosmopolitan , feel that Grande is being a bit unfairly judged for her actions, the fact remains that Ariana was clearly at risk of losing all momentum she’d gained throughout 2015 due to #DonutGate.
Ariana’s stock was indeed on the rise following the release of her sophomore album My Everything and subsequent “Honeymoon Tour” that followed. She even gained more street cred following her feminist rant at the double standard she perceived in how women were covered in the media, and garnered a lot of buzz for her role in Ryan Murphy’s latest show, Scream Queens .
And with one lick of a donut, it could have all gone away. For Ariana Grande, this latest Twitter feud with Wendy Williams has proven, without a doubt, the pop singer’s career is very much salvageable. And that’s thanks to a rabid fan base that is staying firmly behind their hero.
