There have been a few interesting interactions between deers and humans this week. Yesterday, a video surfaced showing members of Canada’s DNR using a helicopter to move a deer off of a frozen lake. And now a video has popped up online showing a deer attacking a cyclist.
OK, so maybe attacking isn’t the right word.
The video was taken from the helmet camera of cyclist Jeff Plassman during the 2013 Monster Cross and Mountain Bike race in Virginia. The deer can be seen casually galloping through the woods and accidentally crashes into Plassman.
Now.MSN reports that Plassman was able to recover and finish the race. The deer was also unharmed during the incident.
Plassman said: “All I saw was fur, sky, ground.”
The video was posted earlier this week and has already gathered more than 1 million views.
Plassman wrote on Facebook: “Wow, I can’t believe how fast this is blowing up! I’ve spent hours and hours editing bike videos, but all it takes is getting knocked down like on americas funniest home videos…. I’ll take it.”
