The head writer wouldn’t give specific details, but did hint that it is something that happens while he is on duty. However, it won’t just affect JJ and his career in the police department. It will have branches that reach to family, friends, other detectives, and pretty much everyone in Salem. It was stated that it is a highly emotional story and everyone will have an opinion on it.
“It does center around JJ, it is something that happens in the line of duty, and everyone in Salem will have an opinion about it, and I think everyone in the audience will have an opinion about it. It’s a highly emotional story designed to rip your heart out, so prepare accordingly.”
