Some Dancing with the Stars contestants have such great chemistry with their partners that they spark dating rumors. This year, Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish and pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy won the honor of becoming a hot tabloid topic.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, rumors about Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy took a bizarre turn when it was speculated that the Dancing with the Stars competitors were faking a romance to score votes. However, janel isn’t going to let her fans fawn over a faux relationship anymore. During a recent interview with Access Hollywood , Parrish was asked about the dating rumors, and she finally decided to set the record straight.
“Everybody always wants to know. No, we are just partners. We’re just focusing on the dancing.”
This shouldn’t surprise Pretty Little Liars fans, who know that Janel Parrish already has a boyfriend. Weirdly, Val Chmerkovskiy retweeted a message that said to “acknowledge the love in your life” after the Parrish’s interview. Was this his way of letting Janel know he was unhappy about her dating denial?
Parrish’s denial could be a strategic move. This is switch-up week, so Parrish won’t be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy. Now Janel needs to convince Dancing with the Stars viewers that she has a special connection with Artem Chigvintsev, and she thinks she’s up to the task. The actress revealed that she and Artem are planning on steaming up the dance floor with a very sexy burlesque number.
“How do you know we don’t have chemistry? You haven’t seen our burlesque yet. It’s real naughty! I’ve never done anything like it, it’s racy… It’s so racy, but it’s fun!”
She’s not the only one trying to play up her chemistry with her new partner. According to Us Weekly , Val Chmerkovskiy and Lea Thompson will be doing a Broadway number this week. Val is already referring to Lea as his “boo” and putting heart-eyed emoticons in most of his tweets about her. One tweet was accompanied by a very cuddly Instagram photo.

Val definitely has a way with the ladies on Dancing with the Stars . Before she was eliminated, Betsey Johnson revealed that she wanted Chmerkovskiy to be her switch-up partner. Sadie Robertson and Bethany Mota have also discussed how “intense” and “intimidating” Val can be, and the cocky dancer revealed that he knows that the teens think he’s hot.
