Cristiano Ronaldo is always hounded by the press, but his son crashed one of his recent interviews and the best part was that he was dressed up as Superman.
Undoubtedly, Cristiano and his 4-year-old son have a very close relationship, and we could see the youngster Ronaldo hanging out with his dad at the Ballon d’Or ceremony. The Portuguese superstar received the trophy for the second year in a row, beating out his nemesis, Lionel Messi.
After the festivities, it was revealed that Ronaldo’s son is actually a huge fan of Messi, who is his favorite footballer. This revelation came as a shock to everyone, as surely Cristiano Jr. is a big fan of his father — considered by many to be the best player to ever grace a football field.
Cristiano’s son was completely starstruck in an adorable video captured while the family was getting ready to attend the Ballon d’Or Gala . As Lionel Messi walks by with his entourage, Ronaldo points out the superstar to his son. Like any boy his age, his eyes go wide and a big smile graces his cute face when he realizes that Messi is standing right in front of them.
Despite rumors of the animosity between Ronaldo and Messi — which both deny are true — the Barcelona striker was polite with his Cristiano’s son, smiling at him and ruffling his hair, while they enjoyed some small talk as his father watched from his seat. Young Ronaldo gets all embarrassed when his dad says how much he talks about Messi.
Cristiano’s son was also seen on stage, after Ronaldo received the much coveted award for a second year in a row, declaring him the best football player of the year. To attain the trophy, the Real Madrid striker beat out Messi and German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Later on, Ronaldo was being interviewed to discuss his most recent accomplishment, and his son was busy dressing up as Superman. The interviewer seems to notice him standing outside camera range, and invites the 4-year-old to come over and say hi. He then shyly steps into the picture.
Just like any other boy his age, Cristiano Ronaldo’s son is obviously embarrassed to be put on the spot. He walks over to his dad, burying his face on his chest. Chuckles abound as the youngster leaves the older men to their business, not before getting a kiss from his famous dad. Watch the adorable clip.
