Courtney Stodden is starting a new chapter in her life after suffering a miscarriage. The star, who was open about the devastating loss, took to Instagram to show her followers her new look. Stodden decided to shave her head in hopes to turn over a new leaf in her life, and many think this is her way to heal from the recent miscarriage that she suffered.
Recently, Stodden shared a video about her next chapter, pre-buzz. The reality star, 21, appeared emotional as she said, “Hi everyone. As you all know, I recently suffered a miscarriage and it’s had a huge impact on me emotionally. I’ve been thinking and I have decided that I want to give back to my angel with a symbolic gesture, and that to me is shaving my hair off. I want to step into this new chapter in my life fresh and with a new … so I wanted to share it with you because you’re a huge support system to me and I love all of you so much.”

Now, we have proof that Stodden made good on her promise, and many seem to like her new look. After the video, Stodden posted the beginning of her new chapter with the caption, “Free feline #shavedhead #photography #matthewpaul.”
Prior to showing off her new look, Courtney wrote an emotional letter about her miscarriage.
As reported by the Inquisitr , Stodden wrote to her unborn baby and posted it on her personal Instagram account.
“My precious Angel…I never had a chance to hold your tiny hand. Never will I get to kiss your little warm feet. Never will I have the fortune to look into your precious eyes. … I’ll never get over this … losing you. I hope that you know I wanted to give you life … a beautiful life — and desired so much to watch you grow into an incredible human being,” the reality star concluded. “I know that you’re my guardian angel.”
Us Weekly was one of the first outlets to report the unfortunate news of the miscarriage. At the time, Stodden was thirteen weeks pregnant when she miscarried. Through her rep, she issued the following statement.
“It is with a heavy heart to inform you that last week Courtney Stodden suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. Courtney and her husband, Doug, are at an emotional loss for words and are using this time to grieve with their close family and friends.”
Early on, the star was open about her pregnancy with fans, sharing numerous photos of her baby bump via Instagram. The star also spoke out about suffering from depression while being pregnant. As the Inquisitr reported , Stodden said that she suffers from depression, and it affects her sleeping patterns, appetite, and “overall perspective on life.”
Many sent messages of support for Stodden once she revealed she suffered from depression.
Stodden, who is an aspiring singer, found herself in the spotlight after she married The Green Mile star, Dough Hutchison, in 2011 at 16-years-old. After receiving a backlash, Hutchison explained he met her online after Stodden signed up for acting classes via his website. At the time, she married Doug with her parents’ blessing in Las Vegas. That said, years of turmoil followed with her mother, and the two are now estranged.
As for Stodden and Hutchison, the two split in 2013 for a brief time and then got back together in 2014.
