Corey Simms participated in a rare interview with fans last night. According to a report by Starcasm on July 30, Simms was candid during a Q&A session on Facebook, touching on topics, including Teen Mom 2 and his ex-wife, Leah Messer.
“The hardest thing about co-parenting with Leah would have to be that we have different approaches on how to raise the girls. We often don’t see eye to eye,” Corey Simms admitted about his strained relationship with his ex-wife.
In 2009, Corey Simms and Leah Messer welcomed twins Ali and Aleeah, now 5. However, their relationship took a quick turn for the worse just six months after their late 2010 wedding, when Messer admitted to cheating on Simms with an ex. After their divorce, Messer quickly moved on with Jeremy Calvert, and within the first year of their relationship, Messer and Calvert were married, and Leah was expecting another child. While Messer’s pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage, she became pregnant again just months later, and she and Calvert welcomed their first child, Adalynn, now 2, in February 2013.
Years later, with three kids and two divorces, Corey Simms understands how hard it is for Messer to juggle her responsibilities.
“I’d say it will be very hard on her to do all that. That’s why I’m trying my best to help her out in such a stressful time. Got to do what’s best for them babies.”
As for his relationship with his current — and pregnant — wife, Miranda, Corey Simms said he was already planning to have the girls stay home during the day with Miranda while he works, despite her nearing due date.
“We have talked about this and the girls would be at school about the same amount of time I’m at work so there won’t be much issue on that.”
Corey Simms also told fans that he and Miranda “plan on [having] a few kids” of their own.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the tension between Corey Simms and Leah Messer has been at an all-time high on Teen Mom 2 and on Twitter. After Corey Simms had reunited with Messer’s ex-husband, Calvert, and his new girlfriend, Brooke Wehr, in Los Angeles for a double date, Messer took to Twitter, where she seemingly dissed Corey Simms. Corey put her on blast in a bonus clip around the same time, claiming she doesn’t like to co-parent with anyone but Calvert.
