Connor Cruise, Tom Cruise’s son , has been labelled as “the worst person” to be around by a former member of Scientology.
Joe Reaiche was ex-communicated from the church and he hasn’t seen his two children, which includes his 18-year-old daughter, Alanna Masters, for nine years. However, Reaiche has now revealed his fears that Alanna is getting drawn deeper and deeper into the controversial religion.
The 55-year-old told the Daily Mail, “If there is any chance that Alanna is connected to Connor, he is the worst person for her to be around. The more she’s around him, the deeper into the church she goes.”
Mr Reaiche is a former Australian rugby league player who was a member of the religion for 27 years between 1978 and 2005, and ever since he left Scientology he has been a critic of it.
Mr Reaiche is wary of Tom Cruise’s relationship with Scientology’s leader, David Miscavige, stating, “ Tom and David are like twins, they’re like two peas in a pod. I think Tom, he has turned a blind eye to issues with his church. And they have been very careful not to show him the dark side.
Joe originally joined the church because he believed that it had helped him to recover from a groin injury that had sidelined him for several years. He then married Carol Masterson, a fellow Scientologist, who is the mother to the actors Danny and Christopher, and the pair have their own two children, Jordan and Alanna.
However, after the demise of his marriage, Joe began to question the church. He soon left the institution and he has since been ostracised from his family and can only keep up to date with his children on Twitter, which is where he found a picture of Alanna and Connor Cruise together.
He then stated, “If Alanna is hanging around with someone like Connor, it will be very hard to realise what is wrong with the church, and want to leave.’
