Coco Austin is finding herself constantly compared to Kim Kardashian because both women are pregnant. As such, Coco has been defending her small baby bump, reports Page Six . With Kim’s baby bump being very prominent and Austin’s baby bump being barely visible, folks have wondered what’s going on. However, Coco has asked her doctor the same thing, and Austin says that her small baby bump is attributable to having strong abs.
Indeed, a photo of Coco with Letesha Marrow taken on October 22, 2015, at Ice-T & Coco’s pre-birthday party for their baby Chanel in New York City showed Coco barely having much of a baby bump.
In comparison, a photo of Kim Kardashian West taken just four days later, on October 26, 2015, in Los Angeles, California, shows quite a significant baby bump.
On Coco’s pregnancy blog for E! News , she wrote about all the happenings with expecting her first baby with Ice-T. In the blog, Austin laments not seeing a baby bump in the first four or five months of her pregnancy, something lots of women wouldn’t mind experiencing. Coco wrote that she knows she’s in excellent shape, but Austin wanted to feel pregnant as well — and that meant having a nice baby bump. Now that Coco is showing more, she’s happy.
“In response to the critics of my small baby bump, the thing is I constantly ask my doctor, ‘Am I healthy? Is the baby healthy? What is going on? Have you seen this before?’ My doctor says yes, athletes look like this all the time because they have such strong abs muscles that it takes longer for a bump to pop out.”
On Instagram, Coco wrote about her talk show with Ice-T.
“Exciting news! @iceandcocotalk returns Monday Nov 9th for a Fall Fling!!! We are re-living the fun moments! If you missed the show be sure to tune in!!! Look on flyer for selected cities!!!”
But it’s Coco’s tiny baby bump that has been drawing comparisons to Kim Kardashian ever since they were both seven months pregnant.

However, just like the controversy that folks had leveled at Sarah Stage , an underwear model who enjoyed a flat stomach only four days after giving birth to her eight-pound baby boy, Coco also faced criticism. Austin wrote that her doctors told her of a figure skater who had really strong ab muscles and was able to push her baby out in only three attempts.
“My doctors said they just delivered a figure skater’s baby and she was smaller than me and she squeezed that baby out in nearly three tries because her abs were so strong. Strong abs muscles may mean you’re going to have an easier delivery. When I heard that, I was like let’s cross our fingers that that happens to me.”
Coco loves pregnancy , reports the Daily Mail ?. Austin has said that being pregnant has been really easy for her, a fact that Coco only shared sparingly because she said folks like her sister say they hate when pregnancy is so easy for some and difficult for others. Austin reported that as soon as she stopped taking birth control, she was pregnant two months later.
Prior to being pregnant, Coco’s abs on October 31, 2014, in New York City, appear to be relatively strong and flat.
