The model noted that they are happy to announce that they are pregnant, and they are excited that it is finally happening. John shared the same photo via his Instagram at right about the same time, though he simply noted that they were pregnant. Fans are clearly going wild over the good news, as Chrissy’s photo has nearly 700,000 likes and almost 50,000 comments. John’s post has almost 50,000 likes and nearly 14,000 comments.
The couple has not yet revealed the baby’s due date, but based on the Instagram photo, it would seem that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are likely just past the first trimester mark of this journey. Fans first learned of the couple’s struggles to build a family when Chrissy, alongside Tyra Banks, opened up on FABLife about their efforts.
Teigen had talked about how often she was asked about having kids, noting that others never really know what someone is going through to try to have a baby. She detailed that the couple has been working on having a baby for years, utilizing fertility doctors and every available option they could to make this happen.

Chrissy and John have been together for quite some time now, and they recently celebrated their anniversary with a romantic weekend together. Teigen, 29, and Legend, 36, got married in Lake Como, Italy, in September 2013, notes Us Weekly .
The couple first met while shooting a music video for his song “Stereo” in 2006. They got engaged in 2011 and Teigen recently shared that they have been trying for quite a few years now to have a baby. In fact, Chrissy notes that they would have loved to have had kids five or six years ago, but things didn’t happen as easily as they had hoped.
Teigen is known for being quite open when it comes to her life and her opinions, so fans feel pretty confident that they will see plenty of pregnancy updates from Chrissy over the coming months.
