Was Chris Soules’ loving text from his ex-fiancee Whitney Bischoff or former dancing partner Witney Carson? On Friday, Page Six reported that while Chris was in New York City, he was overheard saying that he received a text from “Whitney.”
Earlier in the week, Chris was in New York City to film Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. A source told the website that while in New York City’s restaurant and lounge Bodega Negra for dinner, Chris, wearing jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers, told his friends that he received a text from “Whitney” that included a photo and heart emojis. The website has asked Chris which woman he meant but he has yet to receive an answer.
Chris Soules proposed to Whitney Bishoff on the season finale of The Bachelor . Days later, he was performing on stage with Witney Carson on Dancing with the Stars . In late May, a few days after the dance competition’s finale and about two months after viewers saw their engagement, Chris and Whitney announced their split.
There was some speculation that Chris and dancing pro Witney had more than just a dance connection. Numerous articles claimed that Chris and Witney got too close for Whitney’s liking. Days after the split announcement, OK! Magazine reported that Whitney ended the engagement because of his constant contact with Witney. A source said that Whitney saw that Chris and Witney had something else going on.
“Chris and Witney had immediate chemistry – and it was obvious to everyone. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. It made Whitney really uncomfortable.”
In an interview with Glamour posted on Wednesday, Witney Carson called her season with Chris the most rewarding on Dancing with the Stars because of how he progressed. She said that she hopes to see him in Iowa when the show’s tour makes a stop there.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , in an interview that Chris Soules did while in New York City, he didn’t give a specific reason behind his failed engagement with Whitney Bischoff beyond simply that the relationship just didn’t work out in real life. He did, however, imply that the whole Bachelor experience compelled him to get engaged.
He added that he and Whitney are friends.
“Well there really is not much to say. I mean it was a relationship. She’s a great person and she’ll be a friend for the rest of my life and I’ll always care about her. Just didn’t work out. It was two people that were mature and went into a weird situation, came out, tried to make it work…”
