Although Chris Brown has made amends with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, it looks like his old problems are coming back to bite him. According to The Telegraph , Chris Brown might be banned from touring Australia due to the 2009 assault on Rihanna.

Michaelia Cash, who is a new minister for women in Australia, said that she had supported the singer’s ban from Australia. The singer’s camp was trying to get him to Australia for December so he can tour there, but it doesn’t look like that’s happening

“I’m clearly not going to pre-empt a decision by the minister however I can assure you what my recommendation would be,” Cash said .

She continued,”This is a government that’s not afraid to say ‘no’… People need to understand, if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world there are going to be countries that say to you: ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia.’”

She then backed up the comments for Chris Brown’s ban with a tweet:

It’s un-Australian to disrespect women @TurnbullMalcolm @RosieBatty1 #EnoughIsEnough

The new prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, said of the comments that they “very brilliantly expressed the thoughts of the government.”

Although Rihanna has forgiven Brown, and even went on to date him after the incident, in 2009 she told Good Morning America , “I was battered. I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face.”

Eventually Brown was sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty. His probation just recently ended in March. To celebrate the end of his probation, after six years and one month, Brown tweeted, “I’m off probation!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!”

So far in 2015, Brown has stayed out of trouble, and is focused on being a father to his daughter Royalty.

People are mixed about this current issue:

@WendyWilliams Not a fan of his, but really? Australia? THE British penal colony!? Ok

@WendyWilliams why is this surprising? Most countries do not allow felons to enter.

@WendyWilliams @chrisbrown sad the assault happen. If we can forgive then we have no hope of rehab.Do we punish til death has occurred

@WendyWilliams @chrisbrown Good deal, maybe if this country took a like-wise approach, women would stop getting the sh-t beat out of them.
