Charlie Sheen has partied with plenty of people, but on Saturday the actor Tweeted a picture of a new and unusually powerful party companion — Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The actor was with the mayor at Cabo’s Hotel El Ganzo, where he was promoting the grand opening of a new bar. Somewhere along the way he happened upon Antonio Villaraigosa, and tweeted a picture with this caption: “From Boyle Heights 2 Mayor of LA..! @hotelelganzo 2 party w/SHEEN at SheenZ..! Antonio Villaraigosa knows how to party!”
It was a bit risky for Villaraigosa to be seen with Sheen, The Huffington Post noted . After all, Charlie Sheen has been in trouble with drugs and completed some rehab stints.
Things do seem to be changing for Sheen, however. Since his very public meltdown and departure from Two and a Half Men , he seemed to have turned a new leaf. He recently gave $75,000 to a girl with cancer and also gave his Scary Movie 5 co-star Lindsay Lohan money to pay some back taxes she owed.
Just this week Sheen got called in to court, and he actually wasn’t the one on trial. His former mother-in-law with wife Brooke Mueller claimed that she was owed commission from a real estate deal made by a friend of Charlie’s on a house the actor bought.
Charlie Sheen may not be too unusual a companion for Antonio Villaraigosa, though. As mayor of the entertainment capital of the world, Villaraigosa has had several other run-ins with celebrities. Just this week he denied rumors that he and actress Eva Longoria are dating, Fox News Latino reported .
