Charlie Sheen just cut Lindsay Lohan a check for $100,000 to help the actress pay off a tax lien, but it’s not the first time that Sheen’s tried to help her out.
Back in February 2011 — in the midst of his public meltdown and exit from Two and a Half Men — Charlie Sheen talked about Lindsay Lohan while visiting the The Dan Patrick Show .
As ABC News noted at the time, Charlie Sheen offered Lohan some of the lessons he learned in his own life.
“I have some things I think she should consider, cause I don’t tell anybody what to do,” Sheen said today on The Dan Patrick Show on DirecTV:
“Work on your impulse control … just try and think things through a little bit before you do them.”
Charlie Sheen’s affinity for Lohan and his attempts to help the troubled actress stay on track resurfaced this week. As UPI noted , Sheen cut Lohan a check for $100,000 to help pay one of the tax liens the IRS has against the actress.
Lohan got a tax bill for $233,904 from some back taxes she owed in 2009 and 2010. Lohan reportedly grew close to Charlie Sheen while the pair were filming Scary Movie 5 , where they parody their own troubled times in Hollywood, and she shared some of her financial difficulties with Sheen. He offered to pay if off for her, but she refused at the time.
But when Charlie Sheen sent Lohan a check for $100,000, she didn’t turn it down and funneled the money right to the IRS.
