Channing Tatum’s Accent Fail In First ’22 Jump Street’ Clip

Jonah Hill may be doing most of the talking in the first clip of ’22 Jump Street’ posted by MTV , but what has caught most people’s attention is Channing Tatum ‘s accent – or rather, his character, Jenko’s accent. Why is it receiving so much attention? It is getting a lot of attention simply because Tatum’s accent is, well, it’s terrible.

In the clip, Tatum, who will receive this year’s Trailblazer Award at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, and Hill chat with some drug dealers. Then Tatum’s character (Jenko) decides to start talking about Dora and her friends.

’22 Jump Street’ Exclusive: ‘Undercover’

The new movie, which is set to be out June 13 th , is the sequel to ’21 Jump Street.’ Tatum (Jenko) and Hill (Schmidt) play a pair of newbie cops who are a part of the youth crime beat. In the first movie, ’21,’ Tatum and Hill went undercover at a high school and had great results.

This time, in ’22,’ Tatum and Hill will be going undercover at a college.

For the upcoming movie, ’22 Jump Street,’ Tatum goes back undercover alongside Jonah Hill. They are set up as freshmen on campus and are supposed to bust a drug ring inside a fraternity, according to E! Online .

’22 Jump Street’ was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who both also directed ’21 Jump Street.’ The pair also directed the new hit, ‘The LEGO Movie.’

Aside from Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, ’22’ stars Rob Riggie, Nick Offerman, Dave Franco, Ice Cube and Amber Stevens.

So, to see some more of Channing Tatum on the big screen, be at a local theater on June 13th.
