Celine Dion wore a leather dress to the Billboard Music Awards, making a rare appearance. According to Mail Online , the singer wowed in the unique green number, showing off a lot of leg in a daring fashion . As she walked the red carpet alone, it was clear to see just how many admirers were thrilled to see her. Judging by the loud applause inside the MGM Grand Theater in Las Vegas when Dion presented the award for Top Male Artist (Sam Smith was the winner), everyone was happy to see her.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Dion is set to return to Caesar’s Palace on August 27. She made the decision to return to the stage following a hiatus she took to care for her husband, René Angelil, who has been battling throat cancer and the treatment aftermath. Celine says that René wants her to get back to performing and that the decision was something that they mutually agreed upon.
“He wants me to sing again, and I want to do this with him. René will be in the audience. I promise there will be high, happy notes, but it’s going to be very emotional for me.”
While at home these past couple of months, Celine has been caring for her three children, René-Charles, 14, and her twins Nelson, and Eddy, 4, in addition to her ailing husband, who now eats through a tube after throat surgery.
“He can’t use his mouth, he can’t eat, so I feed him. He’s got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day.”
Needless to say, Celine Dion’s leather look was proof that she has still got it. She may have been out of the spotlight for a while, but she will always be a star.
According to the Huffington Post , Dion looked “ amazing ” — and there really isn’t any denying that, even if you don’t care for her dress (or the color).
