Carrie Underwood is a beauty, all right. The country superstar opened up during a recent interview and dished on both her diet and her beauty routine.
According to Us Weekly , Carrie said she hardly ever goes a day without makeup , and it’s not because she is vain and loves to look at herself in the mirror either.
“I don’t think I ever have makeup-free days, to be honest,” Carrie Underwood admitted to Yahoo Beauty . “I wear makeup for me. I don’t want to walk by a mirror and feel like I haven’t given some sort of effort. I just feel better when I have a little on.”
Carrie Underwood went on to say that she finds comfort in the ritual of doing her own makeup, especially when she is on the road.
“When I am on tour, I enjoy doing my own hair and makeup,” she shared. “There are just so many people on the road, and it’s kind of therapeutic for me to be able to sit on my butt and have all my things, and it’s quiet. It’s my time to play.”
According to E! News , Carrie has also admit that she plans on partaking in a Vegetarian diet while she is pregnant, then plans on going vegan after she gives birth.
“I have been vegetarian for about 10 years now,” she said. “With pregnancy, I am definitely going more on the vegetarian side, but as soon as I am not pregnant anymore I will go back to being vegan.”
While some may be concerned about Carrie Underwood’s choice to be a vegetarian while pregnant, E! News stats that being a vegetarian can be healthy for both mother and her unborn child, as long as they both get the appropriate vitamins and nutrients. Has the country superstar found being a vegetarian difficult since she became pregnant? She doesn’t think so.
“I don’t think I am craving anything too crazy,” the singer told Yahoo! Beauty . “I try to keep it as healthy as possible and try to take care of myself. And, you know, putting good things in!”
