Caroline Wozniacki isn’t crawling under a rock after her break-up from fiance Rory McIlroy earlier this week. She has posted a heartfelt tweet thanking fans and well wishers for their thoughtful messages following the surprising developments regarding her relationship with the British golf star, who looked close to tears in a presser after the announcement.
Instead of acting like a scorned woman, Wozniacki made her first public comments after the split — announced by McIlroy on Wednesday — saying she was grateful for all the support she has received:

In a subsequent tweet, Caroline Wozniacki thanked her pal Serena Williams for her sweet comments:

Apparently McIlroy freaked out and decided he is not ready for marriage after the wedding invites were sent out to family and friends over the weekend.
There were no indications that there was any trouble in the relationship. As late as last Saturday, Caroline was retweeting Rory:

She was also his caddie for the 2014 Masters in April and even dyed her hair pink — after he supposedly suggested that she do so — in order for her hair to match the beautiful azaleas at the world renowned golf course.

McIlroy offered the “it’s not you, it’s me” excuse to explain the break-up. Granted they are both still very young and with busy professional careers in high demand sports. Wozniacki is ranked No. 15 in the women’s ATP.
However, Wozniacki may be forced to withdraw from the French Open — which starts on Sunday — due to an injury to her knee and it may be a good thing after such a public and completely unexpected split.
Rumor is that Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy would marry in front of about 200 guests — including an unnamed former President — at a lavish ceremony in Rockefeller Center on November 8, however, that is the date of the World Golf Championship in Shanghai, China, so that part of it is probably not true.
Whatever the case, it appears as if Caroline Wozniacki may be sitting at home nursing her wounds this weekend, but she is not the one looking bad, Rory Mcilroy is not getting much love on social media these days.
