Carly Waddell quickly bonded with Kirk DeWindt on Bachelor In Paradise and the two seemed to be bonding well. Kirk and Carly had common interests, would walk on the beach together and even went fishing. From the very beginning, he had his hesitations and he kept saying that he was fresh out of a relationship. But, Waddell simply smiled and enjoyed her time with him.
Even though some people saw Carly Waddell as naive, no one saw what Kirk had planned. On the final day, he completely broke her heart. And now, Carly is speaking out after being mostly silent about the massive heartbreak.
According to a her blog post, Carly Waddell is now revealing that DeWindt’s breakup was shocking to her. And although up until now Waddell has been keeping her silence, she has finally decided to share her thoughts with the world in a very personal blog post.
“Finally! New blog posts added to my website,” Waddell revealed, sharing a link to a personal blog where she could be completely candid about her feelings.
“What’s crazy is that I walked down the beach that morning and told a producer that this was the best day of my life, and how quickly it turned into the worst. Everything you saw, was EXACTLY how it happened. There was nothing deleted…or added to make it any worse, or better. No one knew. No staff, none of my friends, no Chris Harrison. Just Kirk,” Carly Waddell reveals in her blog, adding that she didn’t do anything wrong or interpret things differently.
Some viewers are saying Carly Waddell didn’t listen to Kirk DeWindt throughout the season. DeWindt did say that he was fresh out of a relationship, but Waddell seemed to fall more and more in love with him. Some viewers say that she didn’t listen to him, but she sees it differently. And now, Waddell is revealing that there was much more to the story.
“When I went home Kirk and I did speak. He told me that the reason he broke things off was not because he stopped having feeling for me, it was because he had just got out of a previous relationship a month before hand, and could not stop thinking about her,” Carly reveals, adding, “Yes, he should have been honest earlier, but he wasn’t. There are a million possibilities of why.”
“But we all make mistakes. And he’s a great guy. That’s why I loved him. He will be in my heart forever.”
Clearly, Kirk had been more hung up on his ex-girlfriend than anyone knew. Even Carly Waddell was shocked to learn that he was still thinking about his ex. No word as to whether he is going to pursue the old relationship.
“Kirk actually had an ex at home that he couldn’t get out of his head…so he went back to pursue what he had left at home. He said the more the weeks went on…the more he felt like he was stepping backwards to her…instead of forwards with me,” Carly revealed in an interview with Ali Fedotowsky , according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.
