AMC may be bringing a companion talk show to the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad .
According to Deadline , the network is planning a live after-show — a la Talking Dead , which follows The Walking Dead — to accompany the last episodes of the series. The name? What else — Talking Bad.
Like Talking Dead , Talking Bad would also be half an hour long. Embassy Row, which produces Talking Dead , would also produce Talking Bad .
Talking Dead is hosted by Chris Hardwick and is AMC’s first live after-show. The show features guests, celebrity fans, and the cast and crew of The Walking Dead . It premiered in 2011 along with an encore presentation of the second season premiere. The episode following the second season midseason finale was an hour long, and when the third season premieres on February 13, Talking Dead will expand to one hour.
Currently, there is a Talking Bad podcast that was created by fans of the series to discuss the final season. The podcast is available for free on iTunes .
The fifth and final season of Breaking Bad premiered on July 15, 2012, drawing 2.93 million viewers. The second to last episode of the first half, “Say My Name,” drew a season high of 2.98 million viewers. The first half of season five did considerably better than the previous seasons. Prior to the fourth season premiere, “Box Cutter,” Breaking Bad was averaging about 1.5 million viewers per episode. “Box Cutter” drew 2.58 million viewers, but subsequent episodes dropped to between 1.55 and 1.98 million viewers.
The fifth season of Breaking Bad is set to premiere in the summer.
