Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie kept a close lid on their recent wedding by keeping the glaring cameras of the paparazzi as far away as possible. RadarOnline reported today that the celebrity couple are apparently now cashing-in , to the tune of $5 million for the images of their union.
According to Radar Online, both People and Hello! magazines are reportedly paying $2.5 million each for the rights to publish the pics, with Hello! enjoying “international rights” too, as revealed by an inside source to the publication.
The source spoke about how Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie played it smart when it came to their wedding photos, knowing that they would definitely be of great interest to the public.
Apparently, the newly wedded couple are donating all of the $5 million they are looking to receive for their photos to charity.
“Brad and Angelina knew their would be tremendous interest in their wedding pictures, and decided to donate the money to their charitable foundation. The couple has done this numerous times in the past,” the source said.
When saying, “The couple has done this numerous times in the past,” the insider was referring to the $14 million Pitt and Jolie received for the photos of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, in 2008.
People magazine reported that, this time around, Jolie was the main feature of the photos, and she looked radiant dressed in an Atelier Versace gown customized with artwork by her kids: Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and Vivienne and Knox, 6.
Designer to the stars, Luigi Massi, managed to sew designs from drawings the kids had made directly onto the wedding gown.
Brad Pitt on the other hand looked a little more low-key — as is normally the case on a wedding day when the bride is the center of attention — by wearing a suit he pulled from his closet.
The couple told Hello! magazine recently about the happy day, “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a happy time for our family.”
The money received for the wedding photos will most likely be donated to the Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation, which was formed in 2003, after Angelina Jolie adopted her oldest son, Maddox, from Cambodia.
