Research in Motion on Wednesday gave Mac users their first chance to use desktop syncing via their Blackberry Playbook, adding the option for Beta Zone users.

Using the 2.1 release users are able to use two-way media syncing for photos and video without the need for Wi_Fi networking sharing.

Since the new feature is still in beta users are fairly limited, for example basic options such as backups are not yet included.

The program is currently in limited release, however it is expected to be made available to more users soon with RIM promising a full public version by the summer.

If you’re a Windows users you’ve had access to a fully featured sync option since the PlayBook launched.
