The new Better Call Saul trailer has been unleashed as a music video featuring country star Junior Brown. The Breaking Bad spinoff, which is set to air in February of 2015, probably has series addicts twitching in anticipation.

For those who haven’t yet seen the show, Bryan Cranston plays chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine producer Walter White. He decided to start making the purest meth as a way to pay for the treatment of his cancer, and the problems piled up. Aaron Paul plays Jesse Pinkman, a drug addict and failed chemistry student recruited by White to be his literal partner in crime.

Together they create the viral phenomenon the drug world calls “blue meth,” and the market is set on a whole new level in the Southwest U.S., centered in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As the problems mount up for the two, they realize they need a lawyer just as crooked as the people they work for. That lawyer is Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), whose long-running motto is “better call Saul.”

The latest Better Call Saul trailer is a music video called “Better Call Saul: The Song,” with lyrics from Breaking Bad creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

Saul’s business usually revolves around criminals who can’t fight the law on their own, attempting to at least reduce their prison sentences or get them free. Being practically the opposite side of the coin from White’s DEA brother-in-law Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), Saul is a natural hustler who knows just how to twist the words in his and his clients’ favor.

As the Better Call Saul music video indicates, the lawyer helps criminals who get caught in extenuating circumstances such as drunk driving, vandalism, shoplifting, insurance fraud, and more.

The Breaking Bad spinoff is apparently going to be a prequel, possibly showing us how Mr. Goodman got started as a lawyer, and eventually grew entangled with some of the biggest headaches Walter White and Jesse Pinkman had to face.

What do you think of the Better Call Saul trailer doubling as a music video?
