British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is a man whose star is on the rise. Already a sought-after name in Hollywood, the 38-year-old classically trained actor is about to experience the height of mega-stardom, after being cast as the title character in the upcoming Marvel Comics sure-to-be-blockbuster Doctor Strange .

The Marvel movie about the adventures of the comic book giant’s most popular “occult” character, created by Stan Lee and legendary artist Steve Ditko in 1963, is slated for a 2016 release.

Cumberbatch played the bad guy in 2013’s Star Trek: Into Darkness , but Doctor Strange will be his first crack at the lead role in a “franchise” Hollywood movie, the type of role that rockets an actor’s visibility — and paycheck — into the stratosphere.

Bu apparently that’s not enough for Cumberbatch. Not only does he have to be a Marvel Comics hero, he has to be Beyoncé as well .

Or at least, he has to imitate Beyoncé. Check out this video of the Sherlock star’s attempt — and a pretty good attempt — at nailing the pop star’s famous walk from the 2003 video made to accompany her solo debut single , “Crazy in Love.”

The video comes from a recent edition of a BBC talk show hosted by Graham Norton — and the Benedict Cumberbatch bit has so captured the imagination of his fans, if not Beyoncé’s, that the video has gone massively viral, pulling in more than 2 million views in fewer than four days online.

The whole video also features some funny bits by British comedian Miranda Hart and is definitely worth watching. But if you just want to get straight to the Benedict Cumberbatch good stuff, here it is:

Benedict Cumberbatch cam next be seen on the big screen in another franchise film , The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies , to be relesaed in the United States December 17.
