Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have announced their plans to divorce, but the two are still keeping things more than civil for the sake of their three children. Not only is Ben still living with Jen, but the two are still wearing their wedding bands , apparently not ready to let go of those sentimental pieces of jewelry just yet.
According to People Magazine , Garner was in Atlanta, Georgia, over the weekend, and she was seen walking around with her ring on.
“The actress stepped out this weekend with the band still adorning her finger. She kept it casual in a pastel patterned shirt and blue bottoms, her hair pulled back in a simple ponytail, while she ran errands on a day off from filming faith-based drama Miracles from Heaven in the Southern city. Garner, 42, was also photographed wearing the ring on Saturday, with a simple white t-shirt and black shorts. It was clearly visible as she palmed her cell phone.”
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck was at Comic-Con promoting Batman, and he was wearing his wedding band during the Q&A panel according to Us Weekly . This was Affleck’s first public appearance since he and Garner announced they were splitting up after 10 years of marriage.
Ben and Jen have been spending loads of time as a family since releasing a statement to the media about their intentions to divorce. Right after said statement, the former couple took their kids to the Bahamas for some R&R. While there, the two shared a private, but seemingly awkward moment together. Witnesses say the two were seen outside of the Baker’s Bay private resort, looking quite solemn.
“Ben was picking strands of grass out of the ground and he had a hard time looking at Jen. He was rubbing his eyes and seemed very upset. They sat there for about two minutes in complete silence. Then they said a few words but looked away again.”
It is possible that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have chosen to keep their wedding bands on to symbolize their unity when it comes to their family. Their children — Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3 — are, of course, their priority during this difficult time.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , the couple is so dedicated to their children, Ben has decided to continue living with Jen — albeit in her guest house — so that he can be with his children as much as possible.
