Nick Carter is a happy fellow after becoming engaged to his girlfriend of four years, actress and fitness trainer Lauren Kitt.
For anyone who possibly hasn’t heard of Nick Carter, he is best known for strutting his stuff as the youngest member of pop music phenomenon the Backstreet Boys. The band is on the verge of celebrating its 20th anniversary in the music business.
Nick danced around the subject of a possible proposal announcement when he posted a picture of the happy couple to his personal Instagram account on Friday. The photo came complete with the teasing caption:
“Big question … great answer.”
Carter confirmed the news of his engagement to People Magazine , where he positively bubbled with excitement:
“I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks. I was like, ‘I don’t want it anymore!’ It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers.”
The 33-year-old entertainer planned a romantic getaway to the Florida Keys. He brought along several close friends and his future father-in-law to witness the sweet moment, which took place on a secluded island that Carter visited as a youngster.
E! Online writes that Lauren Kitt delightedly accepted the Backstreet Boy’s proposal, which reportedly came along with a stunning seven carat diamond ring. Just days before becoming Nick’s wife-to-be, Kitt shared a photo of the couple’s romantic destination with the following caption:
“A little island all to ourselves! #KeysLife “
