Some big back-to-school sales for 2015 are kicking off as August gets underway.
Major retailers like Wal-Mart, Amazon, Staples, Famous Footwear, Kohl’s, and Toys R Us are offering great discounts as parents prepare their kids for back-to-school, according to U.S. News & World Report .
For Wal-mart, check out their back-to-school section , and click on the category you want. They’re listed by preschool, grades K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12, top college supplies, or teaching and classroom supplies.
Each section will have “rollback” discounts on major products for the school year. School uniforms start at just $4.47 during the back-to-school sales at Wal-Mart. Shoppers who go online are able to save on shipping on orders that amount to $35 or more.
Amazon has some great sales as well for back-to-school 2015. They have an array of bargains from Lysol disinfecting wipes to Five Star notebooks, according to the report. Limited-time deals on back-to-school products will be featured through September. Some of those items include electronics, clothing, and snacks and beverages. When it comes to Kohl’s back-to-school sales this 2015 season, limited time sales are on dorm furniture and bedding. Customers will find discounts on chairs, air mattresses, desks, and laptop trays to name a few.
Famous Footwear is having deals on Chuck Taylor Converse and Nike running shoes. Buy one pair and get the second half-off (of equal or lesser value). Shoppers can visit the store’s website to view all the details on this sale.
Overstock is inviting shoppers to “make the grade,” in which discounts up to 50-percent off on select products can be purchased. Among some of the bargains, shoppers will find deals on furniture, bedding, storage, kitchen and dining, bath, decor, lighting, laundry, cleaning, electronics, collegiate and many other items.
Staples has a limited time sales event going on for back-to-school this season. The retailer wants to get students 110 percent ready for the school year.
Staples will match the price of a competitor’s item and offer an additional 10-percent off the price difference. This offer is valid from now until September 19. All shoppers need to do is show proof of the competitor’s price. Online purchases can be made by calling 800-333-3330 FREE, then provide the url and item number for the competitor’s price of the item you want.
Toys R Us might not seem like a place to find amazing back-to-school sales, but when it comes to lunch boxes, school supplies, classroom furniture, teacher supplies, and other items, this is a good place to go. Shoppers who purchase a backpack for $12.99 or more are eligible for a free lunch kit that can have a value up to $9.99 each.
Verizon Wireless is offering some good sales on a few of its electronic gadgets. An LG G Watch can be purchased at 56-percent off the normal price; the smartwatch is going for $99.99 (regularly $229.99).
The Disney Store is dubbing its back-to-school sales of 2015 as “back to cool.” Movie and character-inspired products in the form of backpacks and lunch totes are seeing some good discounts. Backpacks have been reduced to $15 (regularly $22.95), and select lunch totes have been slashed to $10 (regularly $14.95).
