As expected, Marvel Studios released a teaser trailer for Avengers: Endgame during Super Bowl LIII today. As several heroes that survived Avengers: Infinity War are shown regrouping, a narrator (perhaps Captain America) is heard uttering a single line: “Some people move on, but not us. Not us.”

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to premiere on April 26, 2019.

“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store,” reads the storyline on the Internet Movie Database .

The Super Bowl spot shows the aftermath of Thanos’ population-halving snap, showing off quiet cities and empty stadiums that were once full of people, with the surviving heroes coping with their loss and preparing for what is sure to be an epic final battle. Captain America is seen attending what appears to be a support group, Iron Man and Nebula repairing armor, Black Widow at a shooting range, and even a brief appearance by Hawkeye after his absence from Infinity War.

While fans of the films won’t have many details about the plot in what could be the final glimpse of the Marvel film before its premiere, it provides a bit more insight than the first trailer that was released in December.

That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been massive speculation about Endgame , the summation of 22 Marvel films spanning more than a decade and the expected launching pad for a new wave of forthcoming superhero films. While she has been noticeably absent from the trailers, many expect Captain Marvel to play a major role in the Avengers quest to finally end Thanos’ reign. Captain Marvel’s film will hit theaters in March, with fans combing over it for any details that could provide insight into Endgame.

There have already been rumors that a character that was thought dead may be making a return to the series, as the Inquisitr has previously reported. Thor’s mother Frigga has been speculated to return, six years after her murder in Thor: The Dark World. Fans of the series will remember her funeral as one of the most emotional moments from the Thor films. While the report doesn’t reveal whether her appearance will be a proper return from death or a flashback, it is confident that Frigga will be appearing onscreen.
