The Wamsutta Middle School In Attleboro was put on police lockdown today following reports of a suspicious man carrying a gun. The students at the school have been dismissed and the police are still looking for the man.

The police said that the man was seen close to the school. He is described as an African-American male wearing baggy pants and a white shirt. Parents were called by the school and told to pick up their kids before the end of the day.
The local Attleboro Sun Chronicle reported that the Hyman Fine Elementary School close to Wamsutta was also on lockdown as a precaution.
