Ariana Grande is growing up before her fans’ eyes. In fact, she may have grown out of her signature ponytail look, which she’s often made fun of for. Although the singer has a powerful voice, her youthful looks are the main focus. Perhaps this is why she may want to ditch the high ponytail? Either way her fans are going nuts about the possible change.
Grande posted a photo to her Instagram sans ponytail with the caption, “Whattttttttt iffffff #heymamawelcometothe60s.” Fans lost their minds once they saw that Ariana Grande ditched the youthful look in favor of a more mature and even sexier hairstyle.

Instagram users immediately commented on the photo. One fan wrote, “YOU LOOK SO S A S S Y AND BEAUTIFUL.”
While another fan wasn’t too happy about the drastic change, “Ariana, baby, promise me you didn’t cut your hair like this.”

We don’t exactly know if this is a wig or if Ariana Grande decided to chop her hair off. As it is she’s been filming the Ryan Murphy show Scream Queens , so it might be related to her role on the show. The singer was filming the new Fox show earlier in the week, so it’s likely.
Back in 2013, Ariana said that she wasn’t ashamed of her Nickelodeon past. At the time, she said her youthful persona doesn’t necessarily bother her, or at least it didn’t two years ago when she was interviewed by EntertainmentWise .
“I’m not trying to escape my Nickelodeon persona,” Ariana explained, “It’s still a massive part of my life. I’m still filming Sam and Cat and Cat’s still very important to me and holds a very special place in my heart.”
“As far as the whole transition thing, I don’t really ever see myself thinking or doing something to make the statement. I think I just want to let my music be separate from my television persona.”
She continued, “I’m growing up but I don’t have any crazy impulses yet.”
