Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been friends for years, but have their good times come to an abrupt end? According to a new report, Selena Gomez is “insanely jealous” of Swift’s relationship with boyfriend Calvin Harris.
Recently, Swift and Harris celebrated their one-year anniversary with one another, and around that time, Swift shared a photo of a beautiful gold locket he had gifted her, telling fans on Instagram that they had reached the one-year mark in her relationship. However, while Swift was certainly thrilled about her anniversary, Selena Gomez reportedly felt differently.

“[Selena Gomez] would give anything to be in a relationship like Taylor and Calvin’s,” an insider told Hollywood Life on March 7. “To have this type of commitment and respect for each other would be a dream for [Selena Gomez]. She has been very supportive of Taylor and Calvin’s relationship and was the first to wish them Happy Anniversary. Their relationship gives [Selena Gomez] hope that she will one day have the same thing and that one day she will find her soulmate.”
Although Selena Gomez may be “insanely jealous” of her friend’s relationship, as the report alleged, they don’t appear to be feuding. Instead, claimed a second Hollywood Life report, Swift may be helping Selena Gomez out with a possible romance. Just last month, Selena Gomez was linked to Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, 23, after the two reportedly had a blast together at Vanity Fair’s Oscar party.

“There wasn’t one time that I didn’t see them [Selena Gomez and Austin Swift] together,” said the source . “Granted, Taylor was also with them, but at one point it was just the two of them dancing while Taylor was dancing with Lorde and Brie Larson. [Selena Gomez] and Austin weren’t holding hands or anything like that, but they do make a good looking couple, and they looked like they were having a great time together.”
Unfortunately for fans, there have yet to be any photos of Selena Gomez with Austin.
In recent weeks, Selena Gomez has been acting a bit out of character. In addition to sparking rumors with a number of men, including One Direction’s Niall Horan and Samuel Krost, Selena Gomez briefly reunited with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, at the end of last year, and after he reportedly moved on, she liked a video of them together on Instagram.
Selena Gomez dated for three years before splitting in 2013, but ever since, rumors have continuously swirled about a possible reconciliation between them ever since — likely due to their frequent post-split outings.
Although Selena Gomez doesn’t appear to be seeing anyone at the moment, she does hope to one day settle down and start a family of her own. In fact, Selena Gomez is said to be so determined to one day become a mother that she’s prepared to make it happen without a man.
“[Selena Gomez] knows with her celebrity and past relationships that it will be hard to lock down a man. There is just too much that goes with it. The paparazzi, the constant travel and distance with careers and everything in between that causes a struggle. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be a mother. She wants that experience,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Regardless of how her future relationships go, she will be a mother. She would love that experience more than anything.”
