Okay, take a look at that picture up above. Yes the one that is obviously an Apple store. Now, can anyone please explain to me why the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted a trademark to Apple for a computer store ?
I mean I get trademarking names and products – well to a point but that’s for another post on another day; but trademarking a store?
Now before anyone spouts off about it making sense to trademark an Apple Store that isn’t what the trademark is for. It is for a store that sells computers. From their granted application

That description could apply to absolutely any store that sells computers and computer related products. Just how is it possible that a trademark could be granted on such a generic thing as a freakin store?
I’m sorry but this is just wrong and is a perfect indication that along with the patent and trademark laws need to change and some people need to find new jobs.
