Angelina Jolie and Cambodian political activist Loung Ung appeared at the Girls Academic Leadership Academy this past week for a screening of their film First They Killed My Father , and fans can’t believe how skinny the actress is. Is the size-zero star losing too much weight since splitting from Brad Pitt?
According to Radar Online , Jolie showed up in an elegant white button-down shirt and black skirt at the Los Angeles premiere, and her clothes swallowed her shrinking frame . In addition, her legs looked bony while wearing designer heels.
After announcing her divorce from Pitt in September 2016 and taking a year off to take care of her six children, the actress started appearing on red carpets and at film festivals last month, and each time she appears to be getting thinner.
At the September Netflix premiere for the Cambodian movie that she wrote, produced, and directed, the Mirror reported that Jolie’s “ painfully thin arms ” shocked fans.
Then, just last week, at the premiere of The Breadwinner , Enstarz claimed that Jolie received backlash due to her seemingly substantial weight loss .
Angelina Jolie claims to be in excellent health, after a year of battling Bell’s Palsy and hypertension. But, her dangerously thin appearance is starting to cause concern. She has said that her break-up has been “the hardest time,” and reports surfaced that the Girl, Interrupted star is also battling severe insomnia.
Besides the stress of her divorce, Jolie has also been dealing with the Harvey Weinstein sex abuse and harassment scandal. After the New York Times piece revealed the producer had abused multiple women during his 30+ year career, Jolie admitted that she was one of his victims.
This isn’t the first time that weight has been an issue for the 42-year-old. When she was a teenager, a battle with anorexia resulted in her spending time in the hospital. She has also talked about how stress affects her weight, and she lost a significant amount after her mother passed away in 2007.

Now, it seems possible that Jolie’s current appearance could be because of stress from her divorce and recent reports that her ex is ready to move on and date someone new.
“Sometimes it appears I’m pulling it all together but really I’m just trying to get through my days. Emotionally it’s been a very difficult year. I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard,” said Jolie
