A recent Instagram post by Amber Portwood has caused concern for her many fans and followers.
After the Teen Mom OG singer spoke out about domestic violence, claiming that while she has been a victim in the past, she never opened her mouth because that’s what a “real woman” does, she took to Instagram on June 13 to share a photo of her bruised hand, and right away, fans began to speculate about the source of the wound.
“Battle wounds,” Amber Portwood wrote in the caption of the photo, also adding, “Don’t slide down after your punch.”
Hours later, a report by In Touch Weekly magazine suggested the reality star had hinted that her injury was domestic abuse-related, but a short time later, she returned to social media to deny any such thing and revealed that she sustained the wound while doing MMA.
That said, Amber Portwood has faced tons of backlash due to her strange comment about domestic violence, which suggested that it was a bad idea for women to come forward.
“Keeping quiet during abuse is beyond stupid,” one fan wrote in the comments section of Amber Portwood’s recent Instagram photo.
Others slammed Amber Portwood for setting a bad example for her eight-year-old daughter, Leah Shirley.

Amber Portwood spoke out about domestic abuse during an Instagram live session, and the majority of fans appear to be completely horrified by her statements.
In other news, Amber Portwood has been involved in an up-and-down relationship with Matt Baier for the past several months, and currently, it is hard to say whether or not the couple is planning to move forward with their scheduled wedding later this year.

As fans may recall, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier revealed they would be getting married in October of this year during an interview with E! News in March. As Baier explained, he was hoping to walk down the aisle on the anniversary of the day he and Portwood met face-to-face for the first time.
