Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are engaged to be married, and now it’s officially official!
The 27-year-old star, who celebrated her engagement to Depp, 50, recently admitted that the engagement ring he bought her was “too big” so Johnny decided to try it on for size.
Reporters caught up with Depp in Beijing, where he is promoting his new Transcendence movie, and found him wearing a “chick’s ring.” Depp has been less than forthcoming regarding his engagement to Amber Heard, announcing the fact for the first time openly only by wearing the rather girly ring.
He told the press who had assembled in Beijing: “The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle.”
Yes it is a dead giveaway, and at least now we know that the two celebrities are definitely engaged, for sure.
When asked how the wedding plans were going, Depp admitted that planning wasn’t his forte in life: “I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can’t plan anything. I’m really bad at that stuff,” he said.
At least a hundred friends of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp attended a lavish, no expense spared, engagement party earlier this month at Carondelet House in LA.
Back in 2012, Depp split with his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, and although the couple never married, they have two children together, both of whom were at his engagement party to his wife-to-be.
But before that, Depp was married, briefly, in the 80’s to Lori Anne Allison, and was later engaged to Jennifer Grey and Sherilyn Fenn, although he didn’t marry either of them in the end. He also famously dated British supermodel Kate Moss, but no wedding bells were on the agenda their either.
