Amanda Bynes has been hospitalized and is currently on suicide watch, according to several reports.
According to TMZ, Bynes was detained on Monday night after she started a fire in a random person’s driveway .
The Thousand Oaks, California fire department responded to a call around 9 pm. Shortly after arriving, Bynes was accused of trespassing. According to the report, Bynes was standing near the fire when authorities arrives.
The homeowner tells TMZ that she had no idea what was going on until police knocked on her front door. The officer asked the woman:
“Do you know anyone by the name of Amanda Bynes, or why she would have some vendetta against you?”
The elderly women didn’t know Bynes by name or who she was.
Amanda Bynes was apparently carrying a “little red gas tank” at the scene of the crime.
Bynes reportedly burned a small section of her own clothing to help start the fire.
Police questioned Amanda Bynes at the scene of the crime, and, based on her allegedly crazy answers, they placed her on a 5150 hold.
For those unfamiliar with the code, a 5150 hold is used to hospitalize an unhinged person for mental evaluation. Authorities can choose to hospitalize Amanda Bynes for up to 72 hours.
