After ‘Batman V Superman’, ‘Justice League’, What’s Next? Domain Names Could Hold Clues

There has been much talk about what will come next, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the already-announced Justice League . Last month Warner Bros. announced nine DC comic titles through 2020.

In order to compete with rivals Marvel, WB secured some very important dates for the next six-years, as previously reported by The Inquisitr . This assures their movies will not be in the position Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was. The Zack Snyder production was forced to change dates twice, in order to avoid conflicts in its release, most recently it announced a March 25, 2016 release day so as to not interfere with Captain America 3 .

But there are still a lot of questions about which superheroes will get their own movie. The only thing we know for sure is that following Batman v Superman we will see the much anticipated Justice League , a dream come true for fanboys (and girls), also directed by Zack Snyder.

After that, who knows. Rumor is that Man of Steel , which started this whole thing, will get a true sequel, since many new DC characters will be making a showing in Batman v Superman and right now, this sequel looks like anything but a Superman (Henry Cavill) movie.

For fans who were expecting Zack Snyder to delve more deeply into Cavill’s character Superman/Clark Kent, this so-called sequel may be a disappointment. Ever since WB shocked the 2013 Comic Con with the announcement that Batman would also be in Batman v Superman , everyone is wondering how this will work, since this is the first time ever that both superheroes will appear in a movie together.

Snyder hasn’t shared much up until this point and the only thing we have to go by are the set photos being shared by Detroit residents. These pics have revealed Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Superman/Clark Kent thus far.

The website Tech Times revealed that the studio has secured the domain names JusticeLeague.com, ShazamMovie.com, WonderWomanTheMovie.com, and AquamanMovie.com (all these sites lead you to the WB website). Could this be the upcoming lineup that would bring to life the DC Universe?

Before getting too excited, or disappointed, depending on what you were expecting to see next, we should remind you that a lot of times studios buy domain names they never end up using. Additionally, the realization of these movies will largely depend on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League’s success. As to that Man of Steel sequel, don’t hold your breath that Henry Cavill could reprise the role, as he had reportedly signed up for three movies with Warner Bros.
