However, Joseph Edgar Foreman (also known as “Afroman”) was ordered to take anger management classes. In addition, the report further claims that the “ Because I Got High ” singer is also required to take drug tests.

If Afroman does not comply with this court order, TMZ reports that he will have to spend six months in jail as a result.

While performing on Fat Tuesday, Afroman punched a young woman named Haley Byrd in the face moments after she started dancing on stage behind him.

The devastating blow knocked Byrd to the floor almost instantly. Footage of the attack was posted online and quickly became viral after being shared by numerous media outlets — including the Inquisitr .

As seen in the footage, Afroman did not hesitate to continue playing his guitar even after he struck Byrd in the face.

In a March interview with WLOX News , Byrd opened up about the incident, expressing how upset it makes her to watch the now-viral footage.

“It makes me sick to my stomach to watch like every time I do watch it, and it’s just upsetting. I don’t really remember much after I was struck. I was in complete shock, and I just remember wanting to get away.”

Moments after she was knocked to the ground, Byrd was able to get up and walk off the stage without any assistance. However, she reportedly sought medical assistance for her injuries.

“I was diagnosed with a concussion. I had several facial contusions, and my whole right side of my face was swollen. I had a busted lip. It was bleeding, and I’m also seeing an oral surgeon for the alignment of my jaw. Until this day I’m still dealing with the anxiety issues.”

According to TMZ , Haley Byrd was present in the courtroom and plans to file a lawsuit against the promoters of the event.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Afroman did offer an apology to Haley Byrd for attacking her. However, Byrd claimed that his apology did not seem sincere and found it “upsetting to see how he reacted to it like it wasn’t a big deal.”
