While most toddlers’ birthday parties are filled with decor featuring cartoon characters and superheroes , two-year-old Grayson had a different kind of hero in mind for his special day. The adorable little boy was “obsessed” with the advertisements for a local personal injury lawyer. In fact, the toddler was so infatuated with the commercials by lawyer Morris Bart that his mother decided to theme his birthday party after the hard-hitting lawyer complete with a cardboard cutout of Bart’s bust.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Morris Bart is a familiar face to many in New Orleans due to his catchy personal injury law commercials. The ads feature Morris along with his catch phrase, “One call, That’s all!” The toddler’s mother, L’erin Dobra, says that her son, Grayson, used to watch cartoons on ABC but after seeing a few Morris Bart commercials he was obsessed.
“He’s always been very drawn to Morris Bart commercials. He used to watch ABC and color videos, and he used to love those. But now he wants to watch Morris Bart commercials.”
Dobra claims that when the commercials aren’t on the television, the two-year-old will watch them on YouTube. What makes the Morris Bart commercials so special? Dobra says possibly he likes the music or flashing lights used in the commercials, but she really has no idea why her son can’t seem to get enough of the ads.
Therefore, when Grayson’s second birthday approached, there was only one birthday party theme that would put a smile on his face, a Morris Bart party . For the big day Dobra commissioned an cake with Morris Bart’s photo printed in edible frosting. Grayson’s grandmother printed him a tiny birthday shirt with the lawyer’s face printed on the front and a giant Morris Bart cardboard cutout was presented to the excited little boy.
Dobra contacted Morris Bart about her son’s obsession and he sent the child an autographed photo along with some logo key chains and a T-shirt. Bart says he isn’t sure what to make of the child’s obsession with his commercials but says that maybe the boy is a “future lawyer.”
“He might be a future lawyer. That could be a future competitor of mine many years down the road.”
Dobra says that her son still watches Mickey Mouse but that if he has the choice between Mickey and Morris Bart, “Morris Bart will always win.” What do you think of the mother’s efforts to bring her toddler’s favorite television commercial to life for an epic birthday party?
