The Acer Iconia with it’s 4.8-inch display and 1024 x 480 pixels of resolution was suppose to arrive in April and in one way it has, the phone has been dropped on the FCC’s doorsteps.

The device features a brushed aluminum frame, features Android 2.3 and offers quad-band GSM capabilities (850, 1900 and 2100MHz 3G frequencies for the U.S. version which makes it a lock for AT&T). Inside the device users will find a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor alongside 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM. While the outside of the phone offers up an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus which is complemented by a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Users will also be greeted by a micro-HDMI output with 720p capabilities, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi capabilities and Bluetooth 2.1 with GPS and a 1500mAh user-replaceable battery.
