Ace Frehley, best remembered as the lead guitarist for the band KISS , has suffered a serious fire at a home he owns in Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
The fire department were called to the home at around 11 am on Saturday after large plumes of smoke were seen coming from the building.
Fire Chief Chet Swirski from the Yorktown Heights Fire Department said: “We got to the scene and found heavy smoke showing from the roof line of the building.”
Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire, and it was contained mostly to the second floor of the structure. It isn’t clear what caused the fire at Ace Frehley’s house, but it has raised some interesting questions.
Back in February , the Inquisitr reported that Frehley was in some kind of financial difficulty and that he was being threatened with foreclosure for failing to make mortgage payments on time.
The report noted:
“Ace Frehley is facing foreclosure in Upstate New York, with banks saying the former KISS guitarist owes hundreds of thousands of dollars on the Yorktown property. The claims state that Ace Frehley hasn’t paid the mortgage on the home in nearly two years, and other liens and bills are associated with the property.”
It remains to be seen if there is any connection between that foreclosure issue earlier this year and the fire at the Westchester property yesterday. Thankfully, there were no injuries in a fire which could have been much worse.
