Disney’s Frozen 2 has no official date as far now, but the sequel of 2013’s musical blockbuster animated movie has already created a lot of buzz over social media. A recent report suggests that film’s main cast, Idina Menzel, will be replaced by Taylor Swift or Rihanna.
According to recent reports, Menzel backed out of her role as Elsa and Disney has already discussed her replacement. An unknown source has confirmed that the Menzel will be replaced by Taylor Swift or Rihanna.
Even Menzel seems to be clueless about her role in the most awaited film. When she was asked about Elsa’s future , she replied, “Honestly, I don’t know. And I’m a servant of Disney.”
Contrary to this, another report suggests that Disney has no plans to replace the iconic character’s voice.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Frozen fans are hoping that Disney will show how the film’s protagonist will turn into a lesbian.
Frozen’s Academy Award-winning song, “Let It Go,” was viewed by many pastors as Elsa’s desire to come out in society and accept her sexuality. However, when in an interview with Yahoo Movies , it was asked to film’s co-director Jennifer Lee about her take on fans’ perception of Elsa’s homosexuality, the filmmaker simply stated that studio had made the film for the viewers and it is solely up to them as of how they perceive it.
Menzel has also supported the fans desire to see Elsa as a lesbian queen . In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , the singer talked about the possibility of the idea and how it will completely change the upcoming movie.
“I think it’s great. Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”

At the same time, co-director Chris Buck also shared Lee’s thoughts. During an interview with MTV News , Buck revealed that with Frozen 2 , the production team would surely try to touch social issues.
“When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don’t have a decent message in there, I think we’ve missed an opportunity.”
If there are hundreds of fans who are dreaming of seeing Elsa kissing a girl in the film, there are many who thinks otherwise. Kevin Swanson, a right-wing extremist pastor, has revealed that they do not want their children to see a lesbian character on screen. According to the pastor, Disney’s Frozen is insidious in nature.

The pastor is very confident to preach that the musical film is a “ Satanic plot to turn kids gay .” On his radio show, One Place Ministries , he revealed why one of the biggest film studios is trying to demonize the American population by showing lesbian character.
“Anybody who has the guts to stand up against the homosexualizing of kids in the present day will be shamed for it, and that means that the homosexualizing of kids will be, I think, wholesale happening across this country in the next two, three, four, five, 10 years. Of course, Frozen , and is going to get Elsa a girlfriend, eventually. That’s the way you destroy sexuality. That’s the way you destroy an entire civilization. The entire social system of the United States of America is collapsing.”
Disney’s Frozen 2 is still in its pre-production stage, and so far nothing has confirmed about the possibility of showing a lesbian character in the film.
