Tiger Woods won his eighth Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday by a comfortable lead following a second-round 61. He ended up at 15-under 265, easily beating defending champ Keegan Bradley.

Woods beat his competition by seven points, allowing for an easy win. He also matched the PGA Tour record he already shares for victories at a single tournament.

The pro golfer’s mastery of the Firestone Country Club course allowed him a better advantage to take on the competition, reports ESPN.

And if he weren’t already the favorite to win next week’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill, the win would have catapulted him to the top. As is, no one got within six shots of Tiger all day.

When he had a good shot, Tiger took it, but the day was spent with the pro golfer playing it safe. After a birdie on the 10th hole, Tiger offset it with a three-putt bogey on the 14th. But despite the mistake, Tiger Woods was unbeatable at Bridgestone.

Keegan Bradley won the competition last year , notes Fox Sports. But this time, he watched someone else dominate. Bradley is a big fan of Tiger and admitted watching him when he was younger.

But as good at the world’s No. 1 golfer has been, we’re sure Bradley would have loved to beat him. But, as the golfer admitted, “This week he’s playing really well.”

While Tiger Woods took home the victory at Bridgestone, Bradley and Henrik Stenson tied for second. Tied for fourth were Jason Dufner, Miguel Angel Jiminez, and Zach Johnson.

If Tiger’s win at Bridgestone wasn’t enough of an indication that he could win next weekend, the golfer has won both competitions in the same year three times (2000, 2006, and 2007). The victory was also Woods’ 79th on the PGA Tour, allowing him to pull ever closer to Sam Snead’s record 82 victories.

Do you think Tiger Woods will win this week’s PGA Championship?
