Former America’s Next Top Model contestant Renee Alway is deep into a drug addiction. The model’s family is hoping Dr. Drew or Oprah will help the young model find her way.
Alway was arrested last month during an attempted burglary. Police, during the time of the model’s arrest, say she was hiding out in a Palm Springs home that didn’t belong to her. Renee Alway was involved in a police stand off during her arrest but ultimately backed down from a fight.
Renee’s family members now claim that she is homeless and living in “survival mode,” which caused her to break into a home.
The model’s mother tells TMZ :
“We stopped giving her money, which was feeding her drug problem.”
Renee’s mother says the girl’s family has not been able to help on their own. She said of her newest effort to help her daughter:
“I am trying to find her some professional help. I would like to get her help from Dr. Drew, Dr. Phil or even Oprah.”
Renee is currently under supervision at a correctional facility in Banning.
Why her family has chosen to further broadcast her troubles with the help of TV personalities is beyond me. In any case, I hope she gets the help she needs.
