Maci Bookout took to Twitter on Monday night to praise her husband of nearly one year, Taylor McKinney.
As her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, reportedly tends to his substance abuse struggles in rehab , the Teen Mom OG star remains focused on her own family. During last night’s new episode of the MTV series, the longtime reality star took to Twitter to share her thoughts about McKinney’s relationship with eight-year-old Bentley.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying,” read a re-tweet posted by Maci Bookout in June 12, which featured a clip from a special moment between McKinney and Bentley.
In the clip , McKinney was seen opening a card from Bentley, whose father is Edwards, while celebrating his birthday.
“You are the best step dad ever,” the card read.
A short time later, Maci Bookout shared a second re-tweet, which read , “Bentley & Taylor’s relationship is the best!!!”
Maci Bookout began dating Taylor McKinney years after her split from Ryan Edwards, and in October of last year, McKinney officially became her oldest son’s step dad. Meanwhile, the couple also shares two children of their own, including two-year-old daughter Jayde Carter and one-year-old son Maverick Reed.

As Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug use continues to be a hot topic on Teen Mom OG , Maci Bookout and her husband have also experienced their own issues. As fans saw last week, having three children has caught up to the newly married couple, and while chatting with a friend on the show, Maci Bookout admitted that her marriage could be hell at times. That said, she and Taylor McKinney remain dedicated to one another and to their family, and at the end of last week’s show, they were seen visiting a therapist in hopes of getting their relationship back on track.
Maci Bookout opened up about her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards’ struggles during an episode of Teen Mom OG, and days after the episode aired, he was said to be seeking treatment in rehab. Although it is unclear whether or not it was Bookout who prompted the reality star to seek treatment for his alleged issues, she told husband McKinney earlier this month that she was planning to stage an intervention for her troubled former partner.
