It hasn’t been an easy road for Full House star Jodie Sweetin. We have now learned that at 31-years-old, Sweetin is headed for her third divorce. TMZ has obtained information that suggests she’s filed for separation from her husband of a year.
According to documents filed in L.A. County, which cite irreconcilable differences, the actress is asking for a separation from her husband Morty Coyle.
So what’s on the line for Jodie? Well, it seems as though the star has her priorities in check. Sweetin is asking for full custody of their child Beatrix, who is 2-years-old now. Also on the list is their 2000 Toyota Avalon.
In addition to her daughter and the Toyota, Jodie wants the judge to consider that she and her soon-to-be-ex, split their $200 Kohl’s credit card balance.
The two exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills in March of 2012. At the time Sweetin told People, “We had wanted to keep it quiet and intimate for a while, but felt that on our first wedding anniversary, it was time to share!” The couple became engaged on the actress’ birthday in January of 2011.
Aside from her daughter Beatrice, Sweetin also has a daughter Zoie, with her ex-husband Cody Herpin, who’s 5-years-old.
Jodie filed for divorce from her second husband, Cody Herpin in 2008. The two were only married for a little over a year, but Sweetin told media outlets that it wasn’t just the rocky marriage that led to her second divorce. “Our house is in foreclosure, our water has been shut off twice. Currently, all of our other utilities are overdue.”
In 2002 she married officer Shaun Holguin, who filed for divorce after Jodie underwent treatment for drug abuse. In 2006, the actress opened up to discuss her drug addiction . “I would be doing drugs in the bathroom and Shaun would knock on the door, asking me if everything was okay and I would just lie to him.”
The actress has opened up on several occasions about her former struggles with drugs. After Full House wrapped, she spiral into drug addiction, using ecstasy, and crystal meth. In 2009 she wrote a memoir called unSweetined .
So far there’s no official statement out from Jodie Sweetin or Morty Coyle.
