It’s been a pretty big week for Raven Symone. The actress, who may have just come out as gay , recently started college classes at Academy of Art University.
The actress wrote on Twitter today : “Summer classes!! # AAU”
Symone has been acting since the 1980s (The Cosby Show) but recently decided to go back to college. In June, the actress posted a photo on Instagram announcing that she was going back to school.
Symone writes: “Omg am I going to college?!?!?!?! Shut up!!!!No Way!!! AAU here I come, let me do well. Haven’t done schooling in a while! I’ve been working! Time to put my left brain to work for a while! Yay!!!”
The actress has been using her Twitter and Instagram accounts to update her fans on her school work. She has posted a few images (see gallery below) of the sketches that she has done for school.
Symone writes: “Oh school! You have taught me so much more!”

The actress has also used her Twitter account to share a few personal details about her life. Rumors have been circulating about Symone’s sexuality for the last year and she may have confirmed the rumors last night.
The actress writes : “I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.”
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Raven Symone is gay. She could just be happy about the fact that she now has the opportunity to marry a man or a woman.
The actress released a statement to CNN , saying: “I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted… I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”
