Bradley Cooper’s perm has made an appearance on the set of the actor’s new film . Yes, I said perm .
Cooper’s new ‘do , which channels the ‘N Sync-era Justin Timberlake and every-era Dustin Diamond , was snapped as the actor walked with Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jennifer Lawrence on the set of Abscam Project (a working title) .
The Bradley Cooper perm joins Christian Bale’s baldness in the new David O. Russell project, which is yet to receive an official title. Cooper was spied a few weeks back actually pulling off pink hair rollers pretty well. Kudos, that man.
Abscam Project focuses on a true story from the 1970s, in which a con artist and his partner-in-crime were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians, including the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden, New Jersey.
As well as a curly-haired Cooper, the film will star Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Louis C.K., and the aforementioned Lawrence and Bale.
Dramatic physical transformations tend to do well in awards season – think of the Oscars won by Natalie Portman ( Black Swan ), Anne Hathaway ( Les Misérables ), Charlize Theron ( Monster ), and Adrien Brody ( The Pianist ).
Admittedly, Bradley Cooper getting a perm isn’t quite as dramatic as any of those examples, but it might just snag the 38-year-old a second Oscar nomination . And it is pretty funny.
