Curvaceous former American Idol Jennifer Hudson has debuted a new, leaner look on the cover of InStyle magazine.
Hudson, who holds the distinction of being the only reality show participant to ever win an Oscar (for Dreamgirls ), cites Weight Watchers in helping her drop from a US size 16 to a US size 6. Says Hudson:
“It’s not a diet, it’s really a way of living that teaches you better skills. For years I felt like I could never have ice cream, but I can eat ice cream occasionally now!”
The actress turned singer who is a spokesperson for the diet plan says that while she is pleased with her dramatic weight loss, her fiance/babydaddy David Otunga is still adjusting:
“David doesn’t like change. He tells me I have no breasts anymore. He tries to feed me,” she said.
Hudson also concedes that being slimmer comes at a cost: she says a newfound shopping addiction has taken root:
“I have a serious shopping problem now. Each city we go to, my suitcase won’t hold my new clothes so we have to box them up and ship them home.”
